Silver Thread Vineyard
This month we are delighted to feature the wines of Silver Thread Vineyard, a jewel of a winery. Originally established in 1982 with just six planted acres on Seneca’s east slope, they release fewer than three thousand cases of small-batch wines per year.
Owner-winemakers Shannon and Paul Brock have been at the helm of Silver Thread since 2011, and they remain committed to sustainable and bio-intensive farming. A low-intervention approach that results in wonderfully expressive terroir-driven wines.
In this featured selection you will find a pretty Riesling-based white, a bold Cabernet Franc-based red, and their rare 2020 Petillant Naturel – a rustic and gorgeous effervescent wine bottled before fermentation was completed.
