Sheldrake Point Winery

This month we are delighted to feature the wines of Sheldrake Point Winery, our first Cayuga Lake winery!

They are much-loved, highly-respected, and a local favorite – especially in the summertime when their rosé seems to be everyone’s house wine!

The winery is co-owned by Cornell Hotelie Chuck Tauck, with whom I had a great conversation captured on our podcast. I invite you to listen to it on our site or Spotify and learn how a group of wine-loving friends got the business going in 1997… how they found the incredible farmland through a post in the pennysaver… how the winery has evolved over the last two decades… and why ‘The Wines Class’ at Cornell was the most expensive class Chuck has ever taken!

The featured wines!

2018 Acid Head Riesling I 2017 Merlot I 2018 Riesling Ice Wine

Discover why we love these wines, what’s inside the bottle, and try a few easy food & wine pairings!
