A casual intro to wine: We’ll discuss the basics… explore a few key grape varietals… even how to open various types of bottles! Expect the experience to last one hour, include five tasting portions, and Moosewood’s vegetarian mezze. Come with friends… or come solo and make new ones!

During this elevated tasting we will explore the brilliant ‘méthode champenoise’ styles of sparkling wines… to include a blanc de blancs, a vintage (or two), and some iconic non-vintage expressions. Wines will include two famed Champagne houses alongside three of our beautiful local producers.

Located in Ithaca, we are fortunate to be in close proximity to an incredible constellation of authentic, pioneering, collaborative, and respected producers in the Finger Lakes. Each one is unique and has a story to tell. And each one is passionate about crafting expressive wines that can be confidently shared with a global audience.
During this comparative tasting, we are going to taste a series of flights comparing our wines vs their counterparts from regions such as Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Champagne. Expect the experience to last a little over one hour, include eight smaller tasting portions, plus Moosewood’s vegetarian mezze. Let’s geek out a little bit and travel the world!
